Through this artwork, I sought to depict the essential role of cats within the urban ecosystem of New York City. The background features dilapidated building walls with numerous windows, rusted pipes weaving between them, reflecting the city's complexity and density. The dark background conveys both the stillness of night and the harsh reality of urban life, highlighting the tension of survival.

At the center stands an enormous cat. Partially visible through the windows, the cat stretches its paw to catch a rat in the middle, symbolizing its critical role. In a city plagued by rats, cats serve as indispensable guardians, maintaining balance in the urban ecosystem. The exaggerated size is symbolic, representing not physical scale but the immense influence and responsibility cats hold within human and urban environments.

이 작품은 뉴욕의 도시 풍경을 배경으로, 고양이가 도시 생태계에서 수행하는 중요한 역할을 상징적으로 표현하고자 제작되었습니다. 그림의 검은 배경은 밤의 어둠과 뉴욕 도시의 냉정함을 동시에 담아내어, 도시 속 생존의 긴장감을 강조합니다. 낡은 건물 벽과 수많은 창문이 그려져 있으며, 창문 사이에는 녹슨 파이프들이 도시의 복잡하고 혼잡한 구조를 보여줍니다.
