This piece was created to capture the quiet, solitary presence of stray cats and the mysteriousness that surrounds them. The cats appear hidden—some peeking slightly from behind doors, observing their surroundings, while others are deeply concealed in shadows, almost indistinguishable. Unidentified light subtly illuminates them from front and back, revealing only their silhouettes while keeping their faces unseen. This composition conveys a sense of tension and serenity, as if the cats are silently watching and waiting for something unknown.

Although each cat seems situated in its own world, the distorted space and composition create a subtle connection, inviting viewers to follow their gaze and imagine the stories they carry. Some cats appear as small silhouettes in wide, open spaces, symbolizing solitude and loneliness, while others peek quietly from doorways, conveying curiosity and alertness simultaneously.

Beyond their physical forms, this work explores the inner world of stray cats, their environment, and their relationship with humans. The quiet yet tense moment, the hidden but waiting presence, and the subtle interplay of light and shadow create a delicate atmosphere in which the viewer experiences a unique connection between the cats, the observer, and the space they inhabit.

이 작품은 제가 바라본 길고양이들의 조용함, 혼자 있는 순간, 그리고 정체를 알 수 없는 존재감을 표현하고자 제작되었습니다. 고양이들은 숨어있는 듯한 느낌을 주며, 일부는 문 뒤에서 살짝 머리를 내밀고 주변을 살피고, 일부는 어둠 속 깊이 감춰져 있어 그 존재조차 흐릿하게 보입니다. 정체불명의 빛이 그들 앞과 뒤에서 은은하게 비치지만, 얼굴은 드러나지 않고 실루엣만 보입니다. 이러한 구성은 고양이들이 마치 보이지 않는 무언가를 기다리며 세상을 관찰하는 듯한 긴장감과 고요함을 전달합니다.
